3 .Square deadlite (April 22)

The temporary ceasefire that began on April 8th has completed 12 days. And the deadlock will end after four days. On Friday, April 17th, Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote on Twitter: "As per the ceasefire in Lebanon, the route through the Strait of Hormuz has been completely reopened for all commercial vessels for the remainder of the ceasefire..."

4 .Global Oil market impact

Araghchi tweet, the global oil market witnessed a stir as oil prices suddenly fell by 9% to 11%.

Trump wrote "thank you" on Twitter. His tweet led investors to believe the war was over and the US futures market saw a decline. Meanwhile, Pakistan confirmed it was ready to host a meeting between Trump and Iranian representatives.

5 .April 18: Iran has re-closed the Strait of Hormuz

While on one hand there was a wave of happiness in Washington DC and the entire world, on the other hand, the news coming from the Gulf of Paras plunged the world into panic. Shortly after Trump's thank you post, Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz again.

Iran's IRGC Navy Command (Official Statement) issued an official statement on the evening of April 18. It has been clearly stated on behalf of the IRGC that "The Strait of Hormuz has been blocked since Saturday evening and it will not open until the U.S naval lifts its blockade on Iranian ports."

Iran's parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said progress has been made in the talks with the U.S., but there are still differences on "fundamental points," so Hormuz will remain closed.

6 .The impact of the Hormuz closure on American citizens

The effects of Iran's April 18th blockade of the Hormuz are now being felt at American petrol pumps and gas stations. Gas prices in California, New York, and Washington have reached $6.50 per gallon. Crude oil is currently trading between $140 and $150 per barrel in the global market.

7 .Conclusion

Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz has had an impact on the average American consumer. Today, even vehicles like SUVs have to pay $100-$120 to fill their tank, which earlier used to cost only $60. Diesel prices have also increased significantly. Transporting has become expensive due to the increase in oil prices, hence groceries and daily necessities have become costlier by 15 to 20%. The conflict with Iran is having a bad impact on the people of the entire world and America.
